I’ve always been fascinated by what helps people come alive, not just in their heads, but in their whole being. And how to navigate past stress and other roadblocks so that thriving becomes one's default.

For decades, I’ve explored yoga, breathwork, personal transformation and bold reinvention. At first, I used this information to power my own way through big life shifts. Over time, it became the work I was called to do for others.

I’m a certified yoga teacher, certified life and leadership coach, former Deputy Mayor, university course creator and faculty member, and multi-time entrepreneur. I’ve guided hundreds of people to get unstuck, clarify what matters and create lives that truly light them up — on and off the mat.

Leah

Director of Guest Experience & Retreat Hospitality

Leah T Heslin

Leah has spent her entire career creating unforgettable experiences for guests — the kind that feel effortless, warm and genuinely cared for.

After years in high-volume, fine dining, including her standout role as a top-performing server and Server Trainer at Old Ebbitt Grill in Washington, DC, and at Sant Ambroeus Brookfield in Manhattan, she brings a rare blend of grace, precision and heart to The Blissful Badass Retreats.

She has led teams, trained staff, mastered the art of anticipating needs and built lasting relationships with countless returning guests. Her talent lies not just in service, but in elevating it — turning even simple moments into something special.

Leah is now bringing that mastery full-time into the world of yoga-powered transformation.

At each retreat, she will be curating an experience that feels seamless and deeply personal. Guests will be greeted with warmth, cared for with intention and supported in ways that make the entire journey feel easy, nourishing and memorable.

Her philosophy is simple: when people feel truly welcomed and looked after, transformation unfolds more naturally.

Leah ensures every detail — from the flow of the day to the comfort of the space to the feeling guests carry home — reflects the signature Blissful Badass blend of joy, presence and thoughtful care.

about the blissful badass

The Blissful Badass
Anchor 2

Trie came up with this name many years ago because, as she says, it captured the type of person she wanted to become. "A Blissful Badass is someone who lives boldly — with soul, spark and zero apologies. Someone who honors their body, trusts their breath and listens when life whispers. Someone who chooses gentleness but embodies strength. One who savors life deeply, notices beauty everywhere, embraces possibility, and leads with kindness and fire."

When Trie finally reached the point where her own work and life came together in a way that felt whole — decades of leadership, coaching, yoga and reinvention — she launched The Blissful Badass™. It’s designed to help people embody that same bold balance of calm and vitality, to find both steadiness and spark, and to live with the energy and presence that makes every moment count.

My work is grounded in The Ecstatic Motion Method™ — a movement-based, body-centered approach that trains energy, clarity and resilience into the body so transformation flourishes.

a personal note from trie

Angel and Trie City

A few years ago, I realized I wanted more for myself, too — not just sharper thinking, but the strength, vitality and connection that comes from living fully in body, breath and spirit.

Life is extra amazing when we are able to show up lit from within. When our whole self is calm and centered enough to feel fully charged, we don’t just meet the moment, we make it our own. And that’s when possibility stops being an idea and starts being everyday life.

These days, I live on the Hudson River, right across from Manhattan, where the skyline is my daily reminder to think big. I also spend as much time as I can in my happy place — the Jersey Shore — where the ocean reminds me to breathe deeper, laugh louder and always live with flow and zest.
